This grounding and bonding wire offers 1/8 inch diameter， flexible， 5 foot stainless steel cable with an aluminum plier clamp on one end， and a 1/4 inch terminal on the other end. Stainless steel cables are 7x19 stranded， the ultimate in flexibility， durability， and corrosion resistance. Unlike cheaper steel wires， stainless cables are inherently spark proof. They can be used outdoors and with strong chemicals.
Draining or pouring liquids can build up static electricity in containers. Static sparks can cause explosion and fire. That's why OSHA requires bonding and grounding of drums， pails， and safety cans containing liquids with a flashpoint below 100º F.
